Welcome to our Community Pick Your Own Blueberries!


Although we no longer grow blueberries commercially, the bushes continue to produce an abundance of delicious fruit each summer. Rather than letting them go to waste, we’ve opened the fields to the public, with every visit helping to support local charities and community groups.


2026 marks our 5th year of Community Pick Your Own Blueberries. Thanks to the incredible support of our visitors, we’ve already raised over £80,000 for local causes, and this year we’re aiming to reach the £100,000 milestone.


This season, we’re proud to be supporting more than 75 local charities and community groups. Throughout the harvest, each organisation will host around two Pick Your Own sessions, raising funds for the causes that matter most to them. From schools and sports clubs to mental health charities, faith groups and many other community organisations, every visit helps make a difference close to home.


The full fundraising schedule will be published in early August, so you’ll be able to see which charity or community group is hosting on each day.

  • Open daily: 9:00am – 6:00pm

Whether you’re visiting for the freshest blueberries, a family day out, or simply to support a local cause, we’d love to welcome you to the farm. Every punnet picked helps make a difference in our local community.

Our first sessions will start from Monday 24th August and run through to late October

Sessions are running everyday from 9am to 6pm

To find out which community group is running on the day, we will be publishing the schedule in early August (please note this is subject to last minute change)

What to bring

Bring sturdy shoes, sunscreen for sunshine, waterproofs for rain. Punnets can be provided but bring your own re-useable tub if you can.

Cash for donations or for certain groups you can donate online through JustGiving, a link will available on the day.

Info

Health and safety info will be available on site. Tips on how to pick and the benefits of blueberries will also be available.

 

It is important to listen to where you are asked to pick so we know where has been picked and what can be picked next. 

 

The story behind our Blueberries

Blueberries have been part of our farm for over 20 years. In the early 2010s, we invested heavily, planting several acres to meet growing demand across the UK. However, as imports from countries such as Peru, South Africa and Morocco increased, supermarket prices fell to levels that made commercial production on our small family farm no longer viable.

 

Rather than seeing the crop go to waste, we decided to try something different.

 

In 2022, we opened our blueberry fields to the public and invited local charities and community groups to host Pick Your Own fundraising days. What started as a simple idea has grown into one of the things we’re most proud of.

 

Since then, we’ve welcomed thousands of visitors to the farm and, together with our charity and community partners, have raised over £80,000 for local causes. In 2026, our 5th Community Pick Your Own Blueberry season, we’re supporting more than 75 local charities and community groups, with the aim of reaching an incredible £100,000 raised.

 

By visiting the farm, you’re not just picking fresh, Scottish blueberries—you’re helping schools, sports clubs, mental health organisations, faith groups and many other local causes continue their fantastic work.
